Event screen
Put your raffle on a projector or TV at your event, with a live tracker, a prize showcase and a draw reveal.
Running a launch night, a gala or the draw itself in a room full of supporters? The event screen is a full-screen view of your raffle made for a projector or TV. It keeps the room up to date while tickets sell, shows off the prizes, and reveals the winners when it's time.
You'll find it on your raffle's Promote page, on the Event Screen tab.

What it shows
The screen has three scenes:
- Live tracker. Your raffle's name (or a headline of your own), the prize pool, a countdown to when sales close, the draw time, and a QR code so people in the room can buy from their phones. If you switch on sales figures (see below), it also shows dollars raised, tickets sold, a progress bar and a ticker of recent sales.
- Prize showcase. Every prize as a card with its picture and value, with your top prize leading. When there are more than six prizes, the screen pages through them. For a 50/50 raffle, it shows the share of the cash pot each prize gets and what that's currently worth.
- Draw. A countdown to the draw while you wait, then a prize-by-prize reveal of the winners, finishing on a board of every result.
By default the screen is on Automatic: the live tracker while tickets are selling, then the draw once sales close. You can pin a different scene in the settings, or switch on the night with the keyboard.
Put it on the screen
On your raffle's Promote page, open the Event Screen tab.
On the laptop connected to the projector or TV, choose Open event screen. (Or use Copy link and open it there.)
Press F to go full screen.
The screen keeps itself up to date, so you can leave it running all evening. If the venue Wi-Fi drops for a moment, it holds the last thing it showed rather than going blank. The cursor and the key hints fade away after a few seconds of no movement.
If your raffle isn't live yet, the link carries a preview code so you can rehearse before launch. Only people with that exact link can see the screen until the raffle goes public.
Keyboard controls
These work on the laptop showing the screen:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| 1 | Live tracker |
| 2 | Prize showcase |
| 3 | Draw |
| 0 | Back to Automatic |
| F | Full screen on or off |
On the draw scene:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Space or → | Reveal the next winner |
| ← | Go back a step |
| A | Auto-play the reveal |
| R | Restart the reveal |
| E | Switch between the main draw and the early bird draw (when both have run) |
Change it from your own laptop
The settings on the Event Screen tab are what every screen showing your raffle follows. Change something, choose Save changes, and a screen that's already up picks it up within about 20 seconds. That means someone at the back of the room can switch the screen from the tracker to the prizes without walking over to the projector.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show sales figures on the screen | Adds dollars raised, tickets sold, a progress bar and a ticker of recent sales. Off by default. |
| Fundraising goal | What the progress bar fills toward. Leave it blank and the bar fills toward your ticket capacity instead. Only used when sales figures are on. |
| Headline | Replaces your raffle name at the top of the screen, e.g. Help us reach $20,000 tonight. Up to 120 characters. |
| Theme | Dark (best for projectors) or Light (best for bright rooms). Dark is the default. |
| Starting scene | Automatic, or pin Live tracker, Prize showcase or Draw. |
| Show a QR code to buy tickets | Puts a QR code to your ticket page on the screen. On by default. |
Admins can change these on any raffle. Affiliates and Independent Organisers can change them on the raffles they run.
Why sales figures are off by default
Your raffle page never shows how many tickets you've sold or how much you've raised. Combined with your ticket price, those figures give away your exact takings, and plenty of organisers would rather keep that to themselves.
The event screen follows the same rule until you decide otherwise. When you switch sales figures on, anyone who has the screen link can see them while the switch is on, so turn it off again after the event if that matters to you. The ticker of recent sales never shows a buyer's name or how much they spent.
Revealing the winners
The event screen never draws anything. You run the draw on your raffle's Draw page as usual, and the screen replays the result, like Present Results does. It shows each winning ticket number and where the winner is from (their suburb and state, or just the state for a paper ticket), never a name.
To present on the night, use Open on event screen on the raffle's Draw page. That link opens straight onto the draw scene, and it can reveal the winners as soon as the draw has run, before you publish your results. That way the room hears it from you first, not from the results page.
Keep the Draw page link to yourself
The Open on event screen link from the Draw page can show winners before they're published. Open it on the presenting laptop, and don't share it around.
The ordinary screen link from the Promote page waits for you to publish. Until then, its draw scene shows "The draw has been made. Winners are being confirmed."
The reveal starts with the minor prizes and builds to the top prize. Press Space for each one, or A to let it play by itself.
Good to know
- It's a web page. Any laptop with a browser and an HDMI cable will do. There's nothing to install.
- One raffle per screen. Each raffle has its own event screen link.
- The screen asks the computer not to sleep while it's showing, but check your laptop's power settings before the night anyway.
