One link for a recurring raffle
Run the same raffle again and again? A series link is one permanent URL and QR code that always opens your latest round.
If you run the same raffle over and over — a weekly meat raffle, a monthly members' draw, an annual fundraiser — a series link saves you reprinting everything each time. It's one permanent web address and QR code that always opens your current round.
Print it on your banners, flyers, and table signs once. When you start the next round, the link follows automatically.
A series is a signpost, not a raffle
The series link doesn't replace your raffles or merge them. Every round stays a separate raffle with its own page, its own permanent URL, its own permit, and its own draw and records. The series link simply points at whichever round is current.
Setting one up
A series is created when you duplicate a raffle — that's the moment you're starting round two, so it's where RaffleLink offers it.
Duplicate the raffle you want to run again. On the Basics step of the copy, you'll see a prompt: "Running [your raffle] again? Use one permanent link and QR code for every round — print your banners and flyers once."
Choose Set up series link and give it a series name (for example, "Friday Meat Raffle") and a series URL. The URL sits directly after your organisation's address, just like a raffle's.
Choose Create series link. Both rounds — the original and the new copy — are added to the series straight away.
The series URL can't be changed later
Because the whole point is printed material that keeps working, the series address is permanent. Pick it carefully — RaffleLink warns you at the time: "This link can't be changed later — it's made for printed material." Your only way back is to remove the series link entirely.
Setting up a series is an admin action.
Sharing it
Your raffle's Dashboard gains a second address labelled Series link, right under the raffle's own URL — "Always opens your latest round — use this on banners and flyers you reuse." It has its own Copy URL and Download QR buttons.
When you download a QR code you'll be asked which one you want:
- Every round — the series QR, for banners and signs you'll reuse. Always opens your latest round.
- This raffle only — links to this round's page, now and after the draw.
Use the series QR for anything you're printing once and reusing. Use the single-raffle QR when you're promoting a specific round — a social post about this week's prize, for instance.
Each time you activate a new round, RaffleLink confirms it: "Your series link now points to this raffle — printed banners and flyers are already up to date."
What supporters see
Someone scanning your series QR lands on your current round — and the address bar shows that round's own URL, so if they share it, they share the actual raffle rather than the alias.
Between rounds — after one draw and before the next opens — the series link shows your most recent round with a note explaining the next one hasn't opened yet, and an invitation to follow your organisation so they're emailed the moment it does. That way a scan is never a dead end, and the people scanning your signs between rounds become your mailing list for the next one.
Adding more rounds
When you're ready for the next round, duplicate the most recent one — the copy joins the series automatically, so there's nothing extra to set up. Your Raffles list shows the round under each raffle's name (for example, Friday Meat Raffle · Round 7).
Removing a series link
If you set one up by mistake, or you're retiring it, choose Remove next to the series link on the raffle Dashboard.
Anything already printed will stop working
Removing the link means anyone scanning an old banner or flyer lands on a "page not found". Your raffles aren't affected — every round keeps its own page, URL, and permit; they simply stop being grouped. The address is then free for you to use again.
Good to know
- Compliance stays per-raffle. Permits, returns, and draw records belong to each round individually — a series never pools them.
- A raffle can only be in one series.
- Drafts never show. If the current round is still a draft or has been cancelled, the series link won't reveal it — which is what keeps a printed QR from leaking an unpublished raffle.
