Lump-sum payouts

Switching a VIC or WA raffle from weekly instalments to a single payment at the draw.

Last reviewed 5 June 2026

Raffles operating in Victoria or Western Australia are paid in weekly instalments by default (see How payouts work). If you'd rather receive the proceeds as a single lump sum at the draw instead, you can switch those raffles over.

(Raffles in other states are already paid as a single payout at the draw, so this setting doesn't apply to them — there's nothing to switch.)

Why this exists

In Victoria and Western Australia, some organisers prefer one consolidated payment after the draw rather than smaller weekly transfers — it can simplify accounting, especially for infrequent raffles. The toggle is for those organisers.

Turn it on

From your raffle's Payouts page, switch Lump-sum payouts on. The toggle only appears when your raffle is active and operating in VIC or WA — those are the only raffles that get weekly instalments in the first place.

The 'Pay out as a single lump sum at draw time' toggle on the raffle's Payouts page.

What changes

With lump-sum on for a VIC/WA raffle:

  • No weekly instalments are sent while the raffle runs.
  • After the draw, a single payout covers all RaffleLink Sales, minus the platform fee.

It's reversible

If you change your mind mid-raffle, switch the toggle back to weekly. RaffleLink will emit a catch-up instalment covering everything that would have been paid out by that point under the weekly schedule, then resume the regular weekly cadence.

So there's no "wrong" answer up front — you can change your mind without leaving money sitting awkwardly.
