If your state isn't listed
Why a raffle might not be available in your state — and what it means.
When you enter your details, you pick your state. If yours isn't in the list, it means this particular raffle isn't available to you, and you won't be able to buy tickets for it.
Why this happens
It's not you, and it's nothing you've done wrong. Raffles can only be sold in the states where the organiser is permitted to run them. Australian raffle rules vary by state, so an organiser sets up their raffle for specific states — and if yours isn't one of them, local rules mean you can't take part in that raffle.
Local raffle rules mean only certain states can take part in this raffle.
What you can do
- Check you picked the right state — an easy slip.
- Look for other raffles. Plenty of organisations run raffles available in your state. Browse all raffles and filter by your state to see what you can enter.
- If it's a cause you care about, the organisation may run other raffles, or a future one, that includes your state — their organisation page is worth a bookmark.
Why some raffles ask for your full address
For some states (and certain permits), you'll be asked for your full address, not just your state. That's part of the same compliance picture — particular jurisdictions require it. Just enter your address as prompted; the form will help you with it.
