If your order is voided

What it means when an organiser cancels your individual order.

Last reviewed 5 June 2026

Sometimes an organiser cancels — or voids — a single order rather than the whole raffle. If that's yours, you'll be told, and (if you paid by card or PayPal) refunded.

Why an order gets voided

Common, perfectly ordinary reasons:

  • A duplicate purchase — you accidentally bought twice.
  • A mistake at checkout — wrong quantity, or a purchase made in error.
  • An eligibility issue — something about the order didn't meet the raffle's requirements.

It's usually housekeeping, not anything to worry about.

What happens

  • You get a cancellation email explaining your order was voided.
  • Your tickets are released from the draw.
  • If you paid by card or PayPal, your purchase is refunded to that method — typically 5–10 business days for cards.

If you paid cash at an event

If you bought your ticket in person at a booth and paid by cash or EFTPOS, RaffleLink didn't process that payment — so any refund is handled by the organiser directly, in person. If your in-person order was voided and you're owed money back, speak to the organiser who sold you the ticket.

If you think it was a mistake

If your order was voided and you don't think it should have been, contact the organiser (details on the raffle page). They voided it, so they can explain why — and if it was an error, sort it out with you. For anything that looks like a technical fault, support@rafflelink.com can help.
